Leadership Falls From Grace

Leadership Falls From Grace

Stunning many organization heads and business owners, Leadership is no longer the pinnacle of performance and success.  In what has become an all too common occurrence among top performers, Leadership was suddenly demoted after accounts of its true character, attitude and outlook were made public.  While reports are not yet confirmed, it has been suggested that leadership is just not up to meeting the challenges of modern-day workplaces.

As part of its design to build up a base of support for its effort, leadership attempted to inspire its followers by impressing upon them its own perception of reality. Instilling the importance of order and a defined sense of position, as well as outlining clear, but departmentalized goals, leadership had hoped people would focus within their small groups. It was overheard saying, “As long as each person knows their job and completes what they have been tasked with, how their work relates to the organization is irrelevant.”

Compromising its ability to build the movement, Leadership made a common misstep. After carefully taking stock of group dynamics and asking for input from multiple sources, Leadership built a case for a solution that was exclusive of the group-think. Indicative of its confident style, Leadership held tight to its values and would not budge from its directed course of action.

Taking regular opportunities to instill creativity, energy and personal time into a busy schedule is too often not the mark of someone ascending in responsibilities. Leadership mandates the same work ethic to its subordinates. Defending its actions, it was overheard saying, “The secret to success is putting everything you’ve got into your work 24/7.”

According to sources close to the now fallen brand, the value of Leadership has plummeted, and it is yet to be determined if its reputation can recover in this market.
